The Effects of Increasing Flow Velocity and Improving Water Quality in Dongsam Seawater Stream through Bi-directional Sluice Gates Operation and Tidal Range Drainage

To cope with the water pollution problem, Dongsam seawater stream was newly renovated in 2022. For this maintenance, government constructed various facilities including electric swing sluice gates at both ends to enhance exchange performance. In regard, study tries quantify velocity increment and quality of offer suggestions for effective management. achieve goal, authors performed literature review on improvement, GPS buoy tracking experiments, long-term current measurement (Aquadopp), monitoring, analysis daily log data gate. The results indicate that operation bi-directional maximum tidal range conditions can strengthen intensity contributes stream.
